This intake and integrated airbox offer the combined benefits of a short ram and cold air intake without the negatives. It uses unique features to maintain optimal flow and minimize turbulence that can cause engine management issues. A custom conical cloth filter connects to a CFD-designed velocity stack and airflow straightener grid, which smooths airflow across the MAF sensor for precise readings and eliminates "dead spots" found in other intakes. No other aftermarket Subaru intake includes these design elements. The one-piece, high-temp plastic composite design saves weight and better rejects heat compared to metal, keeping intake temps lower. The SF Air Box adds cold air intake benefits by channeling cool air from the front grill and shielding the system from hot engine bay air and rainwater—avoiding issues common with in-fender intakes. This COBB SF Intake requires no tuning, works with the stock MAF sensor, and includes a pre-oiled filter and Post MAF Hose—just install and go!
